St. Joe Children’s Theater
RULES TO LIVE BY

Producing a play is a group endeavor. We are so pleased that you will be a member of the cast. In order to assure a positive experience and a successful show, the following Rules to Live By sheet has been established. Parents and students—please read these rules carefully before signing the contract.

1. All cast members will be cooperative, prepared, and respectful of others at all times. Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.  If a child continues uncontrolled disruptive behavior, the parent will be contacted and expected to pick up the child immediately.

2. All cast members will attend every scheduled rehearsal on time unless they have received permission from the director to miss. (Missing more than three [3] rehearsals will result in dismissal from the show.)

3. Only cast members who need a script will receive one. Scripts and pencils will be brought to every rehearsal. Deposit for script is $8.00 and will be reimbursed when it is returned in good condition to the Arts Alliance.

4. Parent volunteers will work with cast members to secure hand props and costumes.

5. Cast members will not bring food or drink (except for bottled water) to rehearsals.

6. When not on stage, cast members will remain in designated areas and be quiet and calm during rehearsals.

7. The rehearsal and performance spaces will be taken care of and always left as found.  Trash should be put in trashcans and the area clean and tidy.

8. Cast members may not bring guests, friends, etc. to rehearsals.

9. Students will be picked up on time and will wait inside rehearsal space. Older cast members who drive themselves are asked to leave in pairs and make sure an adult is aware of their departure.

10. The safety of our cast is paramount. No child under the age of 18 will be allowed in the sound/light booth or on the catwalk in the auditorium.

11. Parents must sign children in with contact telephone number for the night.

12. All participants will have fun and work collaboratively to present the best production possible!

If any participant does not follow these rules the director has the discretion to remove a cast member if it is deemed necessary for the good of the production.
