GALA presents SEA at First Fridays Celebration of the Arts August 6, 2010
For the final First Friday of the 2010 season GALA is featuring art from the SEA, the Society of Expressive Artists that is. SEA is a group of over 30 local artists that work together to promote their art. This First Friday will feature 10 artists from SEA including: painting by Dixie Hester, Tom Wood and Dolores Lowery, ceramics by Leslie Wentzell and Linda McLaughlin, woodturning by Bobby Pollock, fused glass by Gretchen Mays and photography by Sandie Yarbrough, Marie Stephens and Debbie Hooper.
The festivities take place at the historic Port Inn’s Thirsty Goat Pub on the corner of Hwy. 98 and Hwy. 71 in Port St. Joe. The artist reception is from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. EDT. Heavy appetizers served during the artist reception are provided by Provisions, one of Port St. Joe’s premier restaurants. Complimentary beer and wine will be provided on the porch at the Thirsty Goat while supplies last. Music by the Curry Brothers starts at 6:30 p.m. EDT.
The art will be on display for 30 days providing an
ideal opportunity to view and/or purchase the art.
