GALA establishes a Community Theater program that focuses on locals as actors in performances. GALA Community Theatre’s (GALACT) mission is to contribute to the cultural life of the community through theatrical experiences. GALACT will promote education and interest in theatre and the performing arts. This mission includes, but is not limited to the following:

1. Promoting education in the theatre and performing arts by producing high quality plays and musicals;
2. Encouraging and educating children, youths and adults in all aspects of theatre arts and related fields;
3. Providing area residents with opportunities to gain a greater appreciation of the performing arts;
4. Providing area residents with opportunities to participate in and with the performing arts; and
5. Contributing to the quality of life in the area.

     GALACT would like to be a composite of the entire area. This would include and not be limited to the following: diversity in its casting, directors, stage crews, and attendance; bring theatre to other segments of our community by changing venue locations; strengthening the theatre programming, improving quality through acting, directing, audience participation; and find adequate rehearsal and storage space to accomplish these goals.
