Arts education is a critical component of the mission of the Gulf Alliance for Local Arts.  With our local schools'  budgets stretched, we endeavor to provide opportunities for our local children to explore their creativity through the visual and performing arts.  Some of our programs have included the Pensacola Opera's Young Artists in Residence program for elementary schools in Franklin and Bay Counties, Arts in the Sun for 4th and 5th graders of Gulf County, an after school acting class, and with the assistance of the Linda Wood Education Foundation and the Christian Community Development Foundation, arts supplies for Port St. Joe Elementary School.  There is plenty of room for growth, but we need your ideas and manpower.  Perhaps you are an artist who could donate an hour a week in our schools or your business could provide materials from which our children can dream.  Won't you join us in this very important undertaking?
