Dixie Partington is an exciting and talented actress who richly draws on her international experience and training.  After studying at the Webber Douglas  Academy of Dramatic Art in London and the Drama Studio London in Berkeley, California, she began an acting carreer that includes performances at the Barter Theatre, Olde West Dinner Theatre, CLIMB Theatre Company, Old Log Theatre, the Minnesota Renaissance Festival and most recently, at the historic Dixie Theatre in Apalachicola.  A proud member of Actors' Equity for over 20 years, Dixie has received wide acclaim for her performances in Kimberly Akimbo, Sylvia, and Always...Patsy Cline.   A favorite role of hers is that of  "Bernie L. Moore"in Burning Issues for the Bureau of Land Management-Department of the Interior & FSU.

Dixie's most challenging role, though, is as the Executive Director of the Dixie Theatre.  She was honored by the theatre's founder, Rex Partington, and entrusted with continuing an exciting theatre tradition in the panhandle area.  For more information about Dixie and the Dixie Theatre, visit www.dixietheatre.com.
