Friday - Art, Music & Wine Encore
Gulf Alliance for Local Arts (GALA) is having an Encore First Friday on the Last Friday (9/24)!
For this “Encore” and final First Friday of the 2010 season GALA is featuring music by Southern Satisfaction. Originally formed in Gulf County, the band has been performing professionally since 1977. Playing locally and nationally they have received national awards for their style and originality. They play a wide variety of music with the ability to play everything from down home country to funky rocking soulful pop. Members include Port St. Joe native Bobby Kennedy on vocals and guitar and the soulful vocals of Michelle Milligan. Art showcased from the SEA, the Society of Expressive Artists that is. SEA is a group of over 30 local artists that work together to promote their art.

The festivities take place at the historic Port Inn’s Thirsty Goat Pub on the corner of Hwy. 98 and Hwy. 71 in Port St. Joe. The artist reception is from 7:00pm – 7:30 p.m. EDT. Heavy appetizers served during the artist reception are provided by Provisions and Sunset Coastal Grill, two of Port St. Joe’s premier restaurants. Complimentary beer and wine will be provided on the porch at the Thirsty Goat while supplies last. Music will start at 7:30 p.m. EDT.
